Our Direction
The Bible serves as our only creed. Every value is a principle we hold as a congregation to be Biblical.
These ten core values express both who we are and who we want to become. They clarify the attitudes and approaches to ministry that help us accomplish this mission.
Our Core Beliefs
…Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He lived on this earth just as recorded in the four gospels. He, without sin, died on the cross to serve as a sacrifice for our sins. He arose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. He will return one day. He presently reigns as King of Kings. It is only through Him that we have redemption.
…the Holy Spirit is both living and active in every Christian. He is for every baptized believer a gift from God. He guides us, comforts us, and intercedes in our prayers.
…the Bible was compiled by direct inspiration of the Holy Spirit and is a book to be read, reverenced, and obeyed. It alone serves as the source of our beliefs.
…salvation is given only by God and is a free gift for those who accept Christ and are obedient to His will. Surrendering to God’s will is essential to becoming a Christian.
…the church is a family of believers redeemed by Jesus’ blood. The church exists outside the walls of our building and extends to all those who have accepted the invitation of Christ to be a part of His Kingdom.
Spiritual Principles are Foremost
While we are a diverse group, we understand that our opinions, traditions, and individual wishes may have to be set aside. We seek God’s wisdom in all we do and stress Biblical truth as our only standard. We strive to make this church a house of prayer.
