presents two special classes for parents in February:

February 12 at 10:30 am, Parents of 5th and 6th graders are invited to a class called "Thinking with Your Child About Baptism". Carol Locke will be sharing materials to help you teach your child about making a commitment to follow Jesus.

February 26 at 10:30 am, Parents of our Fourth Graders are invited to a class taught by Johnny Markham about the fourth mile marker on the Faith@Home Path of Legacy, "Preparing for Adolescence". We believe there is a great reward when parents intentionally prepare their children for the teen years. Parents give their children a great blessing when they help them navigate relevant issues such as physical changes, identity in Christ, and sexuality.

is Sock and Underwear Collection Month

During the month of February our children's wing will collect underwear and socks. Hampers will be placed in the hallways to remind you of the need. Your gifts will bless children who come to our School Store in July and children in Honduras who receive Magi Boxes. Underwear is not a life or death issue but it surely affects how a child feels about himself.
We can use socks and underwear in all sizes for both boys and girls. Boys prefer boxer and boxer-style briefs. Boys and girls prefer “no show” style socks. Watch for bargain bins. Help your children think about earning or saving money so they can sacrifice to care for others. As always we are glad to receive cash donations if shopping is not convenient for you.

On-Going Collections For Magi Boxes
We collect items for Magi Boxes all year and are already thinking of Christmas 2012! Items for Magi Boxes can be placed in the basket beside the aquarium in the children’s wing or at the Depot in the main lobby.
